A couple of Xbox 360 usage tips
Care of Major Nelson's podcast, I've found out about a couple of tips for Xbox 360 owners.
Starting the Xbox straight to the dashboard
To boot straight to the dashboard when there is a game in the drive, you can use the media center button on a remote, which will start the console into media center mode, but even if you don't have a media center machine on your network you can just cancel out of that screen, leaving you on the dashboard instead of in the game.
Echo during Xbox Live sessions
If you are hearing the echo, the problem isn't on your end. The person who can't hear the echo is the person with the issue, let them know and get them to take their mic connector out and clean the jack.
