Ubiquity command Magicious released

If you use Ma.gnolia and/or Delicious in Firefox, this is a great way to integrate them by using the Ubiquity addon.

For those that have no idea what Ubiquity is, the simple way to describe it is that it's an addon for Firefox that's a platform for time-saving commands within the browser, especially interactions with web services. It could also be described as the web/browser equivalent of Quicksilver (OSX) or Launchy (Windows). You can find more information (and install it) from Mozilla Labs.

So, for those of you that use Delicious and/or Ma.gnolia I've developed Magicious, a command which will use the API (not just open a pop-up) of both sites to post the current page you're viewing, all you have to do is supply some tags.

In the process of creating the command I've contributed a couple of patches to the next version of Ubiquity regarding password management, so I feel warm and fuzzy inside too :o)

Head over to the Magicious page to install it and keep an eye on my Ubiquity site to see what else I make.

On weekdays I'm a Solution Architect at Nokia Siemens Networks, creating creative software solutions for mobile operators around the world.

In my spare time I'm an avid new technology fan, and constantly strive to find innovative uses for the new gadgets I manage to get my hands on. Most recently I've been investigating Mobile Codes, RFID and Home automation (mainly Z-Wave). With a keen eye for usability I'm attempting to create some cost-effective, DIY technology solutions which would rival even high-end retail products. The software I develop is usually released as Open Source.

I have a Finnish geek partner, so have begun the difficult task of learning Finnish.
